This finely detailed bird art print features a family of red-breasted toucans, Ramphastos dicolorus, also known as green-billed toucans, native to tropical Central and of South America. Originally illustrated by John Gould in the early 19th century, while the underbelly is red, the breast is actually orange, with yellow surrounds and the beak a greenish-brown. Mounted at the front of an innovative, deep, backless box frame, the natural shadowcasting of the fine art perspex print is maintained, whilst the raw timber lends a contemporary, organic finish.
